JESSE A. YOUNG, ESQ., has engaged in the practice of law with a concentration in criminal defense work since 1991. Over the past two decades, Mr. Young has tried numerous high profile homicide and other felony cases to verdict. Mr. Young was interviewed on WNYW Fox Channel Five “10 O’Clock News” and BET Nightly News as a guest legal commentator. Mr. Young was featured on HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel,” MSG Network’s “After the Garden,” and WNBC’s “Weekend Today in New York,” on a Golden Gloves Boxer’s successful release after 8 years of wrongful imprisonment. Mr. Young was chronicled on the front page of the New York Law Journal for the acquittal in a Murder First Degree jury trial. Mr. Young recently won an acquittal in a high publicity homicide trial in which DNA left at the murder scene 25 years earlier allegedly implicated his client. Mr. Young grew up in Compton, California and is a graduate of Yale University, (“Scholar of the House”, B.A. 1978), and Columbia University School of Law, (J.D. 1984). He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the District of Columbia, all U.S. District Courts in New York and the District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Young previously worked as a corporate associate at Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam and Roberts in New York City, (1984-1986), and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney for the County of Kings, (1987-1990).
